Mary Mangan has been appointed Chief Operating Officer ireland.com. She will take up her appointment on May 14th.
The Chief Operating Officer will work with Seamus Conaty, the Managing Director of Itronics Limited, in managing and developing ireland.com as a commercially successful Internet operation and business within The Irish Times Group. She will be building on the substantial success of ireland.com in attracting record levels of users from Ireland and internationally.
Mary Mangan has wide and detailed experience of Internet services and businesses. Since 1999 she has been the Managing Director of Buy and Sell net Plc, following her role as Managing Director PostGEM/Ireland On-Line. Prior to these appointments she held a number of key business development and marketing positions in information and technology companies.
She is a member of the Advisory Group to Science Foundation Ireland and was a member of two of the Information Society Project Teams.
