Motorcyclist dies in early morning crash in Dublin city centre

Man in 20s dies after bike hits lamppost at Inns Quay, near the Four Courts

A motorcyclist in his 20s has died following a collision in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The man was killed when his bike struck a lamppost shortly before 4am at Inns Quay, near the Four Courts.

The scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened to traffic.

The Coroner was notified and the man’s body was removed to Dublin City Morgue for a postmortem examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and to anyone with camera footage, including dashcam video, from the crash site to contact them.
