Ireland inflicted a shock 10-wicket defeat on Zimbabwe in the first of three matches between the teams.
The tourists, still reeling from their recent Test batterings at the hands of England,, lost three early wickets at Stormont but rallied to compile a respectable 182.
But that total proved inadequate in the first of the three internationals between the teams, as Jason Molins (107 not out) and Jeremy Bray (67no) steered them to victory with more than 16 overs to spare.
