Baghdad - Iraq said yesterday it attacked US aircraft flying over the south of the country with ground-to-air missiles and artillery, forcing them to flee. "Ten formations of F-14, F-15, F-16 and F-18 fighters backed by AWACS came from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and violated Iraqi air space," an Iraqi military spokesman said.
