Gardai have discovered a major illegal alcohol bottling plant at Ardee, Co. Louth.
The discovery was made this afternoon following the planned search of a premises at Irish Street, in the town.
Sophisticated equipment used to fill bottles with vodka, label and seal same were found along with over 1,000 full bottles of vodka.
Earlier today, another related search took place in the Drogheda area where empty bottles only were found.

The scene has been sealed off and is being examined. Gardai have also called in Customs and Excise Officers.
