Miami - Hurricane Gert was jogging to the north in the Atlantic Ocean and appeared to be on a track that would keep it away from land, forecasters at the US National Hurricane Centre said yesterday.
Gert is a category four storm on the Saffir Simpson Hurricane Scale. Such storms can rip roofs off small buildings and cause massive flooding.
