Tbilisi - Kidnappers who had been holding four hostages, including two United Nations observers, in a remote gorge in Georgia freed them yesterday without any conditions, a Georgian official said.

The four seized last Thursday included two Danish UN officers, a Briton who works for the Halo Trust anti-landmine charity, and a local aide. Another local aide, Mr Ismet Zade, was released on Saturday.
