Two houses were damaged when a car crashed in to the front of one of them, police said today.
The PSNI said the 4x4-type vehicle was deliberately driven into one of the homes in Larne, Co Antrim.
Two men believed to be in the car fled the scene.
Detectives are investigating the incident, which happened shortly before 9pm last night at Walnut Gardens.
No one was in either property at the time.
The car was also damaged by fire following the incident, however the cause of this fire has not yet been established.
Elsewhere, a man in his late teens was arrested when a firework was thrown at a police car in east Belfast.
The firework hit the road at Upper Newtownards Road shortly before 11.15pm and ignited. No damage was caused.
The teenager has been released pending a report to the PPS.
