London - A postcard-size pencil drawing in 1908 by Adolf Hitler yesterday fetched more than £7,000 at auction.
The German leader's sketch of a village scene was expected to be sold for between £2,000 and £4,000 when it went under the hammer in North Lincolnshire.
However, Mr Robert Horner, the director of DDM auction rooms in Brigg, said bidding was fierce. The work was bought as an investment by a Lincolnshire businessman, who paid £7,263.
