Two senior positions at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and a top job at Dublin City University (DCU) are on offer this week.

The RCSI has invited applications for two newly created chairs as part of the college's plans to strengthen its research and teaching programmes in the area of neuroscience and cancer genetics. The college is looking for a professor of neuroscience and a professor of cancer genetics, who will work with the RCSI and the Children's Research Centre in Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children.

Meanwhile, DCU is seeking a deputy head for its faculty of science and health. The HSE has advertised the role of consultant general adult psychiatrist with a special interest in rehabilitation. The post, which commands a salary of €173,323, will be based at St Brendan's Hospital and Connolly Hospital. The HSE is also looking for a consultant in palliative medicine for the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore (€173,323).

St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin is looking for a director of operations to lead the day-to-day management of the hospital as well as a clinical services manager (€67,124-€82,261) and a group internal auditor (€62,745-76,896).

St John of God North East Services is inviting applications for a number of positions including that of assistant director of nursing (€51,714-€65,164) and speech and language therapists at both a basic grade (€35,348-€47,092) and senior grade (€47,188-€55,859).

Also in Dublin St Luke's Hospital in Rathgar is seeking a basic grade and senior grade dosimetrist (€34,651-€52,781 and €50,066- €65,160).

The HSE is looking for an assistant director of public health nursing who will be based in Dungloe, Co Donegal, (€51,207-€59,038).

The Kildare-based Institute of Child Education and Psychiatry is seeking a programme director. The ICEP delivers online courses to teachers and other professionals who work with special needs children and plans to make its online courses available outside Ireland. The Bon Secours group is looking for a senior medical scientist in histopathology.
