Do you exercise? Yes I do. I play tennis as often as possible and I take walks along Portmarnock beach as well.

How often? Not often enough!

Do you consider yourself fit? No, I'm not fit enough, but I do try and God loves a trier, doesn't he?

What's your attitude towards exercise? I love watching other people do it.

Do you eat a balanced diet? Every odd day I try to, but it's all about the effort. I eat a healthy breakfast, have a sandwich at lunch and a reasonable dinner.

Ever tried any faddy diets? I've heard of the Montignac diet and it worked for a pal of mine so I'd like to give it a go.

It was created by Michel Montignac who doesn't believe in calorie counting but instead thinks the more effective way to lose weight is to base your diet around the types of foods that have a low glycaemic index or GI.

The higher the GI rating of a particular food, the worse it is for you and your metabolism so you have to cut out a lot of sugar and refined foods.

What stresses you? Traffic.

How do you unwind? By listening to Frank Sinatra and Van Morrison.

Do you worry about your appearance? Appearance is all part of my job, but I think I look okay.

Is there anything about your body you would like to change? Only about sixty odd things, but everything works.

Would you ever consider cosmetic surgery? No, definitely not.

Patricia Weston recommends:

Walking has many benefits. Not only does it keep you fit but it also helps to clear your mind and help you relax.

Focus on each movement of your legs and feet, rather than on your destination, as you lift, move and place your feet on the ground.

Swing your arms gently, relax your shoulders and keep your head upright.

Each walk should take a minimum of 30 minutes for maximum benefit.
