ME LECTURES: Microbiologist and researcher into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Dr Jonathan Kerr, will give two public lectures on current research into the condition in the Mont Clare Hotel, Dublin on Saturday at 2.30pm and in the Granville Hotel, Waterford on Sunday at 2.30pm. Admission is €5.

TEA DAY: Some 35,000 people suffer from dementia in Ireland, of which Alzheimer's disease is the most common. Thursday is the Alzheimer Society's annual fundraising Tea Day. Its advocacy service, currently being piloted in North Dublin, offers sufferers an advocate who will help them access their entitlements and assert their rights.
