SPIRITUALITY TALK:Author and professor of the sociology of religion at Birkbeck, University of London, Gordon Lynch will give a public talk on the new spirituality on Thursday at 7.30pm in Cultivate Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin.

Lynch will speak about the emergence of a new generation of religious thinkers and organisations of the so-called religious left. He will also discuss the rise of a new spirituality which reveres the natural world and connects religious faith with novel scientific theories. Admission €15. Tel: 01-6745773.

HEALTHY WORKPLACES:The Nutrition and Health Foundation (NHF), an industry-sponsored health promotion body, has launched a Workplace Wellbeing campaign. The campaign includes information on how companies can promote nutrition programmes and exercise routines for their employees. It also aims to give participating companies access to a Workplace Wellbeing Network. The NHF is also promoting healthy eating for children this week.
