How to make Kombucha tea

1 Boil six pints of distilled or purified water.

2 Add a cup of white sugar (white sugar has been found to form healthier cultures than brown or other unrefined sugars)

3 Boil for five minutes

4 Turn off heat and add four tea bags or teaspoons of loose-leaf black or green tea.

5 Steep for 15 minutes.

6 Remove tea bags or leaves and leave to cool.

7 Pour cooled liquid into fermenting container.

8 Add kombucha culture and a cup of fermented kombucha tea as a starter.

9 Cover with a thin cotton fabric or paper towel and let ferment for 10-15 days.
