The closing date for entry for this year's Irish Healthcare Awards organised by the Irish Medical Timesis August 20th.

Entries from both public and private healthcare settings can be submitted under various categories. These include: best patient education project, best hospital project, best public health initiative and best nursing project.

The Art of Leadership is the theme of a three-day residential workshop from August 20th-22nd in Chrysalis holistic centre, Donard, Co Wicklow.

The experiential workshop will be led by psychotherapist Ron Alexander and will look at conflict resolution, how to build support and how to understand different leadership and communication styles.

The Stress Management Institute of Ireland is holding an evening course on key skills for managing stress and pressure, starting on August 26th at 6pm.

Held in its premises at 16 Harcourt St, Dublin, the course will focus on relaxation skills, methods of managing negative thinking and improve critical thinking, concentration and memory, and ways to develop a personal wellness plan.
