** Temple Bar Cultural Trust is hosting a day of cultural activities for the active retired on Friday, August 10th.
Events include historical walking tours with Pat Liddy, leaving from Temple Bar Gallery at noon, a screening of Australian movie, Strictly Ballroom, in the Irish Film Institute and tours of exhibitions in Temple Bar, Dublin.
The day will culminate with a High Tea Hop with a performance of The Brian McCarthy Big Sound showband in Meeting House Square.

** Oxfam Ireland is holding a fundraising trek through the Mourne and Cooley Mountains on September 1st and 2nd. Teams of four or two will trek over 100km/50km from Newcastle, Co Down to Carlingford, Co Louth in under 36/20 hours. Each team member must raise €500 for Oxfam's overseas work. ** Snowflakes is a new support group for families affected by autism. Based in North Dublin, the group organises social events, workshops and a summer project which runs from August 13th- 17th in Swords, Co Dublin.
