- Master chef and nutritional therapist Tara Canning will give a four-week cookery course, starting on Thursday, January 26th, at 6.30pm in Craughwell, Co Galway. - Young people in Cork are invited to bring older people to the Lord Mayor’s Tea Dance from 3pm-6pm on Sunday, January 29th, in the City Hall. - The Comber Foundation is seeking health professionals to work as volunteers with people with disabilities in Romania this summer. The Irish charity has set up group homes for adults with disabilities who have spent most of their lives in state orphanages or institutions. Volunteers who work as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech and language therapists and intellectual disability nurses are specifically required.
