ATHLONE RTC's Cancer Research programme is appealing for participants in the Women's Mini Marathon on June 15th to raise funds to continue the cancer research programme at the college. Although the cancer research into ovarian and other cancers has recently been published in an international cancer journal, the research group has been unable to obtain funds here. Fund raising is for 18 months only and anyone interested in helping out by obtaining sponsorship in the marathon or otherwise can contact Margaret Franklin (0902) 75592 or Maura Kelly (043) 45154.
