The National Cancer Screening Service, in preparation for the expansion of BreastCheck in the west and the new national cervical screening programme, has a vacancy for a screening promotion manager based at its head office in Dublin.

The main purpose of the role is to develop promotion strategies for breast and cervical screening programmes. The salary range is from €65,919-€80,787, on the clerical grade VIII scale of the Department of Health and Children.

The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital and St Vincent's University Hospital have a vacancy for a consultant anaesthetist on a six-month contract.

Tara Healthcare has an opening for an ambulance driver/EMT (emergency medical technician). This is a full-time, permanent post and the successful candidate will hold a recognised EMT qualification or equivalent, as well as a full, clean ambulance licence.

Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital is looking for a basic-grade medical scientist (biochemistry).

The Rotunda Hospital in Dublin has a three-month locum contract for a senior house officer in paediatrics. The closing date for applications is August 27th.

The Incorporated Orthopaedic Hospital of Ireland in Clontarf, Dublin, has two staff nurse vacancies in the varicose vein and ulcer clinic. The hospital is also seeking a healthcare assistant (temporary maternity locum) from October 1st to January 13th. Relief staff nurses for day and night duty are also sought (short-term contracts available).

A number of jobs are available at the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street. In the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, there are four posts: a senior medical scientist (clinical chemistry); a senior medical scientist (microbiology); a medical scientist (clinical chemistry) and a medical scientist (haematology). There are two posts for clinical placement co-ordinators.

Also in Dublin, the Mater hospital has two positions for clinical nurse specialists in palliative care (grade CNMII).

St Vincent's hospital is seeking SHOs in anaesthetics, emergency medicine (one post), geriatric medicine (based at the Royal Hospital Donnybrook), orthopaedic surgery and vascular surgery.

The hospital is also looking to recruit registrars in anaesthetics and emergency medicine clinical fellows (two posts). There is also an opening for a temporary consultant microbiologist for six months initially, commencing on October 15th.
