Food group Greencore has reported a 23 per cent increase in turnover to €1.58 billion following the full integration of Hazlewood Foods. The company added that it has exceeded its target from asset disposals.
Greencore reported like-for-like sales growth in all four divisions of the group and a 14 per cent rise in operating profit to €102.2 million.
The company raised €230 million from asset disposals which exceeded its target of €190 million.
Commenting on the results, Greencore's chief executive, Mr David Dilger, said the company has made a "solid start" to the new financial year. " A platform for continued growth into the future has been established and I confidently look forward to reporting future progress," he added.
The accounts reflect the inclusion of Hazlewood Foods for twelve months compare with nine months in the previous year.
