An appeal by the former Taoiseach, Mr Charles Haughey, and members of his family against a High Court refusal to grant orders which would have the effect of stopping the Moriarty tribunal will be heard by the Supreme Court next month. Counsel for the Haugheys, Mr Eoin McGonigal, and counsel for the tribunal, Mr John Coughlan, yesterday asked the court to deal with the appeal as a matter of priority. The Chief Justice, Mr Justice Hamilton, said the court would hear the appeal on June 23rd.
