The Tánaiste, Ms Harney announced today that US healthcare company DeCare International is to create 210 jobs in Mayo as part of an expansion of its existing operations.
In addition to expanding its Claremorris operation, DeCare will build a new 10,000 square foot facility in Crossmolina, Co Mayo at a cost of €2.6 million.
Announcing details of the expansion this afternoon Ms Harney said the news was "an important vote of confidence in the Irish economy."
Mr Michael Walsh, chief executive of DeCare International and a native of Mayo said "We have incredible employees and we are pleased to open up an extension of our Claremorris operation."
The DeCare facility will process dental insurance claims for the group medical schemes of US corporations, including DeCare’s Delta Dental Plan of Minnesota.
