London - A rare signed copy of a book by science fiction writer H.G. Wells has been sold at auction for what has been described as a "bargain" price.
The book, The Story of a Great Schoolmaster, is one of his lesser-known works compared with successful classics such as The War of the Worlds and The Time Machine. Despite the rarity of a Wells book with his signature, it was sold for just £400.
