The operator of a fitness centre in Dublin’s IFSC claims he has been unlawfully ejected by the landlords in a row over rent arrears. Last Friday, five men arrived at the SV Fitness Centre and told everyone to leave, the High Court was told yesterday.

Z Fitness Ltd, trading as SV Fitness, was given leave by Mr Justice Roderick Murphy to notify the landlords of the building on Mayor Street of its intention to seek an injunction preventing repossession of the premises.

Padraic Lyons, for the company, secured leave to serve short notice of the injunction application on the landlords, the Origin 8 Partnership, and returned the matter able to tomorrow.

In an affidavit, Karl Dunne said no rent had been accepted by the landlords for a number of years despite an agreement with members of the Origin 8 Partnership over rent payments.
