Arsenal are again setting their sights on talented young Aussie Brett Emerton, with Gunners manager Arsene Wenger ready to step in and lure the defender away from Feyenoord.

Emerton, who has been capped 17 times by the Socceroos and scored one of Australia's goals against Scotland at Hampden, was off the market as long as the Dutch giants were involved in Champions League duty.

Arsenal had an offer for 22-year-old Emerton turned down earlier this season.
