PRESSURE on the British government to facilitate the reception of RTE television in all areas of Northern Ireland will come from a meeting of the British Irish Inter Parliamentary Body this week.
The three day meeting of parliamentarians will be opened by the Tanaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Spring, this evening.
There will be reports on arts, culture and sport on growth, competitiveness and employment and on economic and social affairs.
A question and answer session will deal with the peace process; the prospects for an IRA ceasefire and the aspirations of the two governments in connections with all party talks on June 10th.
Good reception of RTE television throughout the North and the teaching of Irish are just some of the steps the body believes could improve inter community relations.
