ATHENS - Greece has protested to Turkey and despatched a navy vessel to rehoist the Greek flag over a disputed Aegan Sea island after it had lowered and a Turkish one raised in its place, Greek sources said yesterday.
As a new diplomatic row developed between the two countries, the Greek Foreign Minister, Mr Theodoros Pangalos, summoned the Turkish ambassador and handed him a protest note about the incident involving the island of Imia, off the Turkish coast.
