Irish builders' suppliers Grafton is proposing ten-for-one share split to shareholders at the company's forthcoming AGM in Dublin on May 2nd, the company said today.

If approved, in each shareholder holding ten shares for every one they currently hold.

Grafton said the proposal is a response the significant rise in the market value of the Grafton's shares in recent years.

Grafton added that the share split should have the benefit of improving the liquidity and marketability of its shares.
