POLITICIANS FROM both sides of the divide in the North have condemned graffiti that was daubed on the side of a GAA club in north Antrim over the weekend.

The sectarian slogans were painted on the front of St Mary’s GAA club in Rasharkin between 2.30am and 3.30am on Sunday. The attack was noticed by a passing PSNI patrol shortly afterwards.

North Antrim Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay said the graffiti was a “shameless and cowardly attack”.

“Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this year that this has taken place, but the good thing about it is both the Protestant and Catholic communities have condemned it outright,” he said.
