Government representatives will travel to various destinations around the world to promote Ireland during the upcoming St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Twenty one ministers and deputies, including the Taoiseach and the Tánaiste will travel to various St Patrick’s Day events.

Some of the countries that they will travel to are the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Russia and Britain.
The Taoiseach will travel to Chicago on Monday where he will meet members of the Irish community. On Wednesday he will meet US President George W. Bush at the White House for the presentation of Shamrock.
Following a European Heads of State and Government summit in Barcelona on Friday next, the Taoiseach will return to Dublin to attend the festivities on St Patrick’s Day.
The Tánaiste, Ms Harney will travel to Scotland, the Minster for Defence Mr Michael Smith will go to Hong Kong and the Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs Ms Liz O’Donnell will go Mexico.
