GOAL yesterday welcomed a decision by the Department of Foreign Affairs to donate £103,000 towards the agency's emergency response efforts in Orissa, India.
"This money is bringing much-needed assistance in the form of food, medicine and shelter," the agency's director, Mr John O'Shea, said. In 1999 a cyclone killed 10,000 people in Orissa.
