Limerick gardai are investigating two shooting incidents in the city at the weekend. A Garda spokesman stressed last night that the incidents were related to a disagreement between two people and had nothing to do with drugs, as was reported.
The first incident happened early on Saturday at Clarina Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, when a shotgun was discharged at a window of a house. No one was injured.
The second incident happened at 1.55 p.m. on Sunday at Hyde Road, also in Ballinacurra Weston, when shots were fired into the air by a masked man. No arrests have yet been made.
