THE 25 year old mother killed in a funfair accident in Tipperary on Sunday was buried after a funeral Mass yesterday morning. Ms Marese Egan, of Springfield, near Borrisokane, died after her seat on a funfair ride in the village snapped from its mooring bar.
Her four year old daughter Samantha, who was with her on the ride, suffered head injuries. She is in a stable condition in Nenagh General Hospital.
Yesterday Senator John Dardis of the Progressive Democrats said her death highlighted the need for legislation to enforce minimum standards at public events and entertainment venues.
