The funeral of comedian Hal Roach will be held today. Roach (84) from Waterford died on Tuesday. Tributes have been paid by comedians such as Brendan Grace and Brendan O’Carroll who said he had inspired them to get into the business.
Roach is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Sandra, Terry and Gráinne, sons John and Shane and an extended family including great-grandchildren.
Requiem Mass will be held today at noon in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock, Dublin, followed by burial at Glencullen Cemetery.
