A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: "I can confirm it will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday. The service will be a private occasion for family and friends and no members of the public will be allowed".
The 60-year-old died at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds on Friday, where her body remains under police guard. An inquest into her death was held yesterday at Highpoint Prison, Suffolk, where she was serving a life sentence.
It revealed Hindley died from bronchial pneumonia caused by high blood pressure and damage to her coronary arteries. The hearing was opened and adjourned to a later date.
Ms Hindley and lover Ian Brady (64) were jailed for life at Chester Assizes in 1966 for the murders of 10-year-old Lesley Ann Downey and Edward Evans (17).
