More than 300,000 medical card holders will be eligible for free dental care from private family dentists from June 1st, the president of the Irish Dental Association, Mr Tom Feeney, announced yesterday.
Speaking at the annual scientific conference of the IDA yesterday, Dr Feeney said the move was part of Phase II of the Department of Health's Dental Treatment Services Scheme.
