London - Former British cabinet minister Sir Norman Fowler (63) was mugged on a train as he travelled to a constituency surgery, it emerged yesterday. The Conservative MP, who is standing down at the next general election, was unhurt in the attack but had his briefcase stolen.
The former Tory party chairman raised the alarm after one of two teenagers grabbed the bag as he stood up to get off the train.
