Four youths accused of having underage sex with a 14-year-old girl are to be served with a book of evidence in January, a judge has ordered.
It is alleged the girl was sexually assaulted by the youths, aged from 17 to 19, on four dates in March and February 2010, at three locations in Co Kildare.
Six teenagers were charged in October. Two of them, both minors, are due to appear again at the Dublin Children’s Court later this month. The remaining four defendants, aged 18 and 19, appeared again at Dublin District Court yesterday.
Lawyers for the four youths consented to the case being adjourned for eight weeks to let the State complete the book of evidence.
