Four men have died in road incidents around Ireland over the weekend.
A driver was fatally injured in a two-car collision on the Headford to Ballinrobe Road outside of Shrule, Co Mayo, at about 7.30am today.
The victim (19), the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene. Another man in the second car suffered minor injuries.
Elsewhere, another man (20) was killed at Lemgare, Clontibret, Co Monaghan, after being struck by a vehicle.
His body was discovered on a minor road in the area at 7.30am today, and the State Pathologist's office has been notified. It is believed the death occurred sometime after 3am when the man was left off in the area by a taxi.
In Co Tyrone, a man (19) was killed when a car crashed on the Ballynagowan Road in Stewartstown. The driver has been named as Michael McKiver.
A female passenger in the Vauxhall Astra is in serious condition in hospital after the incident, which was reported to police at about 8am today.
Yesterday, a man was killed in another two-vehicle crash on the N52 Mullingar to Tullamore Road, south of Mullingar, at about 4.40pm. A driver, aged in his mid-20s, was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital but died yesterday evening.
Two men in the second car were also taken to hospital, but their injuries are described as not life threatening.
