Saturday will begin dry, but rain will spread quickly from the Atlantic and will be heavy for a time. Winds will be fresh west to south-west and temperatures will be around normal. The rain will clear on Saturday night.

Sunday will be a cold day with west to north-west winds bringing heavy showers.

It will continue cold on Monday and Tuesday with further heavy showers in a blustery north-west wind. Frost is likely at night.

Eastern Mediterranean (Greece and islands, west and south coast of Turkey, Cyprus): The weather will be dry and settled for most of next week, with a fair amount of sunshine likely. Temperatures will be in the high teens to low 20s.

Western Mediterranean (Italy and Mediterranean coasts of France and Spain): Changeable weather with spells of rain and some brighter, drier interludes. Becoming noticeably cooler also as winds turn to the west or north-west. Temperatures up to 20C at first will be in the low to mid-teens by Tuesday.

Atlantic coasts of France, Spain and Portugal: Changeable, very unsettled and often windy weather for most of the week. Spells of heavy rain will be interspersed with bright showery conditions. Quite cool also with fresh west to north-west winds.

Canaries: A lot of dry and sunny weather, but there will be some showers from time to time. Temperatures will be in the low 20s, with a fresh west to north-west wind making it feel somewhat cooler.
