New Delhi - The former Indian president, Mr Shanker Dayal Sharma, who served as the country's constitutional head between 1992 and 1997, died of heart failure yesterday.
Mr Sharma (81) began his career as a teacher of law at Britain's Cambridge University, and later became an activist in India's Congress party.
