Football League chiefs in Britain are meeting today to consider how to recoup television money owed by ailing ITV Digital.

Football League chiefs in Britain are meeting today to consider how to recoup television money owed by ailing ITV Digital.

A meeting between the League and representatives from 24 First Division clubs will outline the organisation's legal position.

They will consider action against the TV company as well as a possible settlement with ITV Digital.

ITV went into administration last week with £179 million owing from its contract.

Many First Division and lower league clubs face an uncertain future if the latest payout from the TV deal - due on August 1st - is not made. ITV Digital had agreed a £315 million three-year contract to cover Nationwide League and Worthington Cup matches.
