Workers at Rye Valley Foods, the Carrickmacross-based ready meals subsidiary of Golden Vale, have voted to accept new wage proposals agreed at a meeting between management and SIPTU last week. Of the 300 union members at the plant, 175 voted for the proposals while five voted against.

A grade 1A worker currently earning £170.84 gross per week will earn £195 gross by May 1st, 1999, and £200 by May 1st, 2000.
