Fianna Fail TD Mr Denis Foley is not going forward as a candidate in the next general election. His daughter Norma, a councillor and former chairwoman of Tralee UDC, is already canvassing Fianna Fail delegates for support before the party's convention next month.
Mr Foley told the Kerryman this week that he is to retire. He said he was disappointed and angry at the way revelations that he held money in the Ansbacher accounts were handled by the media.
