Italian Massimo Florioli will take a one shot lead into today's delayed final round of the North West of Ireland Open.
Florioli played the final seven holes of his third round in three under par this morning to card a 71 and four under total of 212.
Swede Adam Mednick is his nearest challenger on three under after a best of the day 69, with 1999 champion Costantino Rocca another shot back.
Ireland's Philip Walton is four off the lead on level par alongside France's Jean-Francois Lucquin, but Scot Andrew Coltart is seven off the lead at three over.
Twenty nine players had to return to complete their third rounds this morning after four and a half hours play was lost on Saturday due to winds gusting up to 40mph buffeting the Ballyliffin links.
Florioli had played 11 holes when play was eventually abandoned at 9pm last night, and made an instant impact today with a birdie on the 12th and eagle on the 13th, where he hit a three wood to seven feet.
A bogey on the next slowed his charge but he also birdied the 17th to be back in 34 and move into pole position in his quest to become the third Italian winner of the event in its four-year history.
