The Garda file in relation to the shooting dead of a father of three in a pub in Dublin’s south inner city earlier this year will be sent to the DPP shortly, an inquest has heard.
John Carroll (33) of Belgrave Court, Rathmines, Dublin, was in Grumpy Jack’s pub in The Coombe on February 18th when two men pulled up outside on a motorcycle and the pillion passenger entered and shot Mr Carroll repeatedly. Det Insp JJ Keane said the Garda investigation was continuing.
A Garda request at Dublin City Coroner’s Court for an adjournment of the inquest into his death was granted by coroner Dr Brian Farrell.
