NEW YORK: Sir Ranulph Fiennes (59), succeeded last night in his record- breaking challenge to run seven marathons in seven days
The British explorer completed the New York marathon in five hours and 25 minutes.
Sir Ranulph and fellow adventurer Dr Michael Stroud had intended to complete the marathons on different continents but bad weather forced them to reschedule one planned for the Antarctic and run it in the Falkland Islands instead, which is classed as South America.
