A leading Irish fashion house is to apply to the High Court for an injunction restraining a UK company from using a similar name. Mr Michael Cush, for Accessorize, a firm with six shops in Dublin, told Mr Justice Moriarty yesterday that a UK retailer, which trades in Ireland under the name Monsoon, had recently opened a shop in Henry Street, Dublin, named Accessories.

Mr Justice Moriarty granted Accessorize leave to serve short notice of an alleged "passing off" motion on Accessories for next Monday.
