Three people were injured in an overnight fire in West Belfast, police said today.

Detectives investigating the blaze at a house on Whitecliff Parade, Ballymurphy, are examining a possible link to a bitter feud between two families.

Tensions have been running high in the area since father-of-five Gerard Devlin was murdered last month. He was stabbed to death as he picked up his children in Whitecliff Parade.

Fire crews were called to the scene today just after 1.30am. Police said the injuries sustained by the three were not thought to be life threatening.
