Lille - A high-speed Eurostar train travelling from Paris to London left the rails at high speed in northern France yesterday but no one was seriously hurt, France's SNCF railways said. Six passengers were slightly injured when the locomotive and first car of the train, which was travelling at 300 k.p.h., jumped the tracks outside Arras, near Lille, emergency services said.

The train, carrying 501 passengers, came to a halt on the trackbed standing upright, as have other high-speed TGV trains in similar accidents in the past.
